Okay, so I'm not too good at giving my drawings back stories, but I think this kinda speaks for itself.

Ellia falls in battle and Alphonse revives her with a Phoenix Down, and Ellia, not being the most Selkic of Selkies, shows her gratitude with a kiss.
She was already crushing on him anyway.
Selkies always get what they want.
